Paris Renfroe Design was established in San
Francisco California, in the summer of 2002. Since then I have worked
with numerous clients in the San Francisco Bay area, as well as Los
Angeles, Las Vegas, New York, and the Minneapolis-St. Paul areas.
Influenced by Mid Century Modernism, I consider myself
an 'Industrial Modernist'. Much of my work consists of custom
furniture, built-ins, closets, storage, and space planning. I specialize in
affordable, modern furniture with clients ranging from young professional
Urbanites to Empty Nesters relocating to the urban city.
There is a unique feel to a true Loft, which is
essentially a recycled/repurposed building. The strong elements such
as steel, concrete, exposed brick, rough sawn timbers, and glass. When I am
invited into a potential client's place, I always start the design process
by evaluating the exterior facade of the building, as well as the materials
introduced in the common areas. Once into the client's home, I let them
tell me what it is that they love about the building, and of their unit.
Then I ask them to tell me what is lacking, and their ideas of what they
would like to see. Once we establish those variables, it's on to the
important part, the budget. With a budget established, I am able to take
the list and sketches we have created back to the office, to where the
concept takes shape.
